AB de Villiers has revealed he’ll keep on playing for RCB in IPL for a few years.

AB de Villiers the former South African cricketer, who had said that he had no plans to play overseas cricket at the time of his international retirement. But at an Interview to “iol.co.za” AB de Villiers has revealed he’ll keep on playing for RCB in IPL for a few years.

AB de Villiers also said: I love all the formats of cricket, and T20 is a lot of fun. It has brought in a new audience, and it has definitely changed our lives as players financially. But the ultimate format is still Test cricket.

He said Bangalore is a special place, a second home, really. RCB is a massive part of my life also I played my 100th Test in Bangalore. India as a country has taken me in, and it’s hard to explain what that feels like.

AB De Villiers holds the record for the fastest 50, 100 & 150 in ODI history.

AB de Villiers retires while being number 2 in ICC ODI rankings for the batsman. AB De Villiers smashed ODI’s fastest hundred off 31 balls against West Indies in January 2015. In the same innings, he made the fastest fifty, taking 16 balls.

AB de Villiers represented South Africa in 114 Tests, 228 ODI’s and 78 T20 Internationals in an over 14-year international career.

AB De Villiers career:

AB De Villiers finished his career batting average over 50 in both Tests (50.66) and ODIs (53.50). He scored 8765 in Tests, 9577 in ODIs and 1672 in T20. He finished his career with 20,014 international runs.

The 34-year-old batsman had scored 480 runs in 12matches he played for RCB in IPL 2018.

Moreover, De Villiers also revealed that “There are some offers on the table from around the world, but it will be nice to wake up and wonder what to do; to be normal,” he smiled while saying.

De Villiers had already made it clear that he will continue playing for his domestic team Titans. But he never gave any clarity about his participation in overseas cricket.

However, when the question asked what next? AB de Villiers said, I will keep on playing IPL for a few years, and I would like to play for the Titans and help some of the youngsters. But there are no set plans. I haven’t been able to say that for a long time.
