Virat Kohli is the player who scored fastest century by an Indian in one-day internationals surpassing Virender Sehwag’s four-year old record in the second one-dayer against Australia. captain Virat Kohli of India broke Virender Sehwag record of 60 balls hundred and scored in just 52 balls against mighty Aussies.

The list of fastest centuries by Indian batsmen is headed by none other than India’s captain Virat Kohli. The knock came against the Australia in 2013 when India was chasing a mammoth total. Virat Kohli complited his hundred in just 52 balls, which included 8 fours and 7 massive sixes. Virat Kohli also scored his second fastest hundred in the same series against the Australia on october 2013.

Before Virender Sehwag broke the record for the fastest century in 2009, former Indian captain Mohammad Azharuddin was at the top of the ladder. Mohammad Azharuddin scored hundred in the match played against New Zealand on december 1988.

Virender Sehwag broke the record of  Mohammad Azharuddin on march 2009. He scored the fastest hundred by an indian batsman in just 60 balls, which includes 14 fours and also 6 sixes.

Yuvraj Singh smashed hundred in just 64 balls against England at Rajkot in 2009. Hence Yuvraj comes in the 5th position for the Fastest hundred scorer for India.
